The Man of Steel in his Fortress of Solitude

I have often been asked why I am so obsessed with the Superman logo.  Anyhoo...it is said that a picture speaks a thousand words. So without much ado, let me share with you all this piece of art that I did for my red wall

Below, is what is now my facebook cover
And just in case you guys are wondering what it was before that...

Retrospectacular!!

I have always been too lazy to color my artwork; which is why most of my comic strips so far have been in monochromes. But there is something very charming about old school coloring, that got misplaced somewhere when new age printing took over. Here are a few more attempts at coming up with a retro-esque color scheme. Looks like I still got a long way to go.

The first piece that you see is the colored version of a black and white piece of fanart (of Morpheus, of course) that I did for a project titled 'Bleeding Blacks' on my facebook comic-page called Mostly sequential. You can see the inked version here --> Link

The second is just another random piece of warm up art with some halftones

Announcing...

Back to back projects have been keeping me away from this blog post the Delhi comicon. But in case you guys are on Facebook, I have started a web comic portal there just for y'all. It's called Mostly Sequential.  I am a lot more regular on that page. Hope to see you guys there

Chekavan

Well-trained in Tulunadan kalari techniques that have evolved over thousand of years, and equally proficient in the southern style of Kalaripayattu, he has wandered without destination for too long. Adventures don't excite him anymore, but he will fight, kill, and even die for you if you have enough gold to satiate his hunger. He is a left-handed swordsman, and that makes him even harder to beat

A bird in the sycamore tree

I know I've been neglecting this blog again. Been super-busy post the graphic-novel launch. But thanks to Rosh, most of my sketches get uploaded on the Libera Artisti fan-page on Facebook. What am I super-busy with? Currently I am working simultaneously on:
1) A comic series (Autopilot - A traffic novel)
2) A spin-off tv series based on the Graphic novel
3) Two comic strips (A fortnightly comic strip called 'Inappropriate' and a monthly page called 'The Urban Yogi')
4) An independent graphic novel whenever I can find an extra hour or two

Yes, it does seem like I might have bitten off more than I can chew. But so far, I've been managing without dropping any of the balls I'm juggling. Here is a little something for you guys - A sneak peek into a story I'm working on during my spare time.

"Say nighty-night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me
While I'm alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me"

Of course you know who the pianist is, dontcha? No...? Here's a clue --> LINK

And if you haven't gotten your pre-launch copy of Autopilot yet, you can get it delivered right to your doorstep through Dial-A-Book

The Urban Yogi

Here is a little something before I head off to Delhi for the Second Annual Delhi Comicon - The last few installments of my monthly comic strip, The Urban Yogi. Though The Urban Yogi started coming in FWD Lifestyle Magazine from November 2011, I had been keeping myself from sharing it online mostly because its humor is targeted primarily at people from Kerala. But now I think it is high time you guys got a whiff of this alternate version of my homeland
