The Game is Afoot

A color study that I did from a photo reference (by Marius Vieth) for a rather wet frame in @syenagiri 's The Game. #art #mixedmedia #colors #comic #GraphicNovel #TheGameIsAfoot

Women!

Just some quick character exploration sketches for an ongoing project.

I hate being stuck doing just one thing, or sticking to just one style when it comes to art. So with every new project I try to come up with a new visual language that is different from the previous, yet distinguishable as mine. I strongly believe that like an actor portraying a challenging character much unlike himself, an artist too needs to disappear behind his artwork

So here's a couple more from the sketchbook for y'all .

Martians

Being marooned in Mars would have been so much more awesome this way. #martian #acrylic #speedpainting #art

2017

Wishing all you wonderful people a colourful and magical 2017. #HappyNewYear

First Four Days of Inktober 2016

Thought I'd take part in the Jake Parker initiated Inktober this month where each artist draws a piece entirely in ink every day in the month of October. I haven't been able to keep up as much as I'd have liked to amid my three ongoing comic projects  but here's what I've done so far

My Inktober started off with an original character I created. Meet Sir Hefner, protector of rabbits

Here he is, rushing off to action on his noble greyhound, Prancelot

This one is for all the captive animals out there in cages

And here's something I did, not so long ago while taking a short break from the day's work

Gerald of Rivia

Got an extra hour today. Thought I'd do a quick piece of fan art. So who else loves this game?

Street Fashion

Thought I'd share a little behind the scenes study with y'all today. You can see many more of my rough studies and practice doodles HERE

The Game - Teaser WIP

Here is a very small sneak peek for you all. The first five inked pages of the 48 page comic I am doing with Jai and Valeria. I might share the coloured versions of a few pages later on . But for now, this is all I can show you till the book is done :)

Land ahoy!

Here's a page from the comic series I'm doing with Malcolm. Unfortunately, I won't be able to share any more pages till the book is done. Have fun, y'all!

Future past: Behind the scenes, Episode #51

This week's Sunday trip has been done traditionally with Ink and watercolour. Thought I'd share the artwork before I start lettering it digitally.

For those of you who don't know what Futurepast is, it's a comic strip I've been doing in a national daily called The New Indian Express. This is fifth comic strip series from me and my third long-running one with The Indian express. I am hoping to collect everything and publish them soon so they will be available to everyone

Stretch Goals and Beyond

As we move closer to our first stretch goal on Kickstarter, here's a sneak peek at one of the many additional pin ups I'm doing for Black Mumba. The book has plenty more from other super-talented artists
