Film Noir

Shadows danced the dance macabre everytime a car drove by the window of his cluttered old office. The air reeked of suspended dust and burnt tobacco, a smell that Detective Grey had gotten used to and hardly sensed anymore. And spread out before him like the pieces of a jig saw that wouldn't quite fit together, lay the three letters Rose had written to her three lovers on the very same night she let herself be claimed by the cold abysmal ocean. Somewhere in those letters lurked a mystery that was even darker than the night outside

Tribute to a genius

Herez a collab I did with Rosh on our day off. I drew, he colored, and we're happy with the way it turned out :). RIP, Albert!
BTW, if you wanna check out more of Rosh's work, he is right here --> CONCEPTDEVIL

The Pantomime Casanova

Voila, The Pantomime Casanova... Juggling with one too many hearts, he seeks not eternal glory as a lover but rather a moment that lasts a lifetime

V-Day Nostalgia

We met it seems, such a short time ago
You looked at me, needing me so
Yet from your sadness, our happiness grew
Then I found out, I need you, too
I remember how we used to play
I recall those rainy days, the fires glowed, that kept us warm
And now I find, we're both alone
Goodbye may seem forever, farewell is like the end
But in my heart's a memory, and there you'll always be

Caught on the wrong side of the moon

Or maybe its the right side of the moon on the wrong day. Poor Ol' moon bunny sure mus've had a tough time today!15 Jan 2010. We had a complete solar eclipse today in our little city. It was beautiful. What added to the beauty was Merryn when she popped 'THE question' on one knee offering me the big bright ring up in the sky. Quite gave me a moment thats frozen in time for ever
P.S: Happy birthday to Rosh

In a perfect world...

Well,...in a perfect world, he wouldn't miss the train. But when was the last time we remembered the world to be perfect?

The Standoff

A little treat from me to all the Marvel and DC fans out there

Trivandrum - Life in the small city

I was reading Will Eisner's brilliant work, New York - The big city, and it inspired me into thinking why not document the unique things that happen around where I live, in what Rosh mockingly calls my Indo-French style :). Then i made a very long list of all the things that one gets to see only in the streets of Trivandrum, one of the Southernmost cities of India, and the homeland of yours truly.
So here I am, presenting to you all, Trivandrum - Life in the small city.
Matilda
I am starting off with Matilda the "meenkaari" (Fish-seller), who is often seen trailing a long chain of cats as she goes from house to house selling the fish her husband had caught out in the sea. Once in a while, nagged by all the whining and purring, she tosses a small fish into the cloud of cats following her. Will be adding more to this post as time permits. Do check back! Have a wonderful day!

Monsieur Lapadite

Watched Inglorious Basterds. And couldn't help but wonder if Monsieur Lapadite would ever be able to forgive himself after having betrayed the family he had sheltered. Btw, loved the movie. Awesome performances and remarkable storytelling!

Escape

One of the illustrations for my short-story "Escape from the concrete jungle" . You can read a few of my short stories, free of cost of course :D, from my "writing blog"
More stories to be added there soon

Bah Society!!!

No time to rest

Now that we are back after our 4-day photography and art exhibition (which was a wonderful experience, by the way) , we gotta dive back headlong into the graphic novel again.. Herez a quickie just to get me back into the mood!
